Let's start with the classics: Perhaps one of the most famous and productive couples in the middle of the century modernist, Charles and Ray Eames, who designed pieces that were a perfect embodiment of time: simple, organic and functional. Designs such as the couple's leather lounge chair and the right Ottoman Ottoman became immediate classic. Others, including the shaped plywood folding screen from 1946, did not get almost as much attention.
The room divider, which is made from curved plywood panels and inner walnut layers, can easily be designed, but masterfully defines a living space – whether there is an open floor plan or not.
