The KingSpan insulation of North America announces the addition of optimal e to its vacuum isolum panels of the Optim -'s R series.
In a press release, Kingspan explained that the new vacuum insulation panel takes into account the growing demand for energy-efficient roof solutions in both new construction and retrieval applications with a limited construction range.
Optimr e is a rigid vacuum insulation panel with a torn Silica core, which is enveloped and sealed in a thin, gas-tight envelope curve.
This construction delivers exceptionally low thermal conductivity, reaches an R value of 34.2 per inch in the center of the panel and offers one of the thinnest solutions to achieve the demanding thermal performance goals.
Each panel is also encapsulated in a proprietary coating that improves durability and minimizes the handling risks on site.
“Optim R E is the next development of high-performance insulation,” said Rob Hinckley, Vice President of Sales, Kingspan isolation North America. “The proprietary spray coating can defend itself against the everyday dangers that are contained on construction sites, which offers greater durability without affecting the extraordinary R-value per inch.”
Kingspan explained that in new construction applications, optimal-R e r values in areas can significantly improve in areas that could otherwise affect the thermal performance of the building envelope.
In retrofitting projects, it enables insulation in places that have previously been omitted due to space restrictions.
Optim-R E is now available throughout North America via the distribution channels of the Kingspan insulation.
