Get ready to dig in – the gardens at the beloved annual plant sale of Spring Creek are back on May 17th and 18th! This highly anticipated event offers a lively selection of locally grown perennials, one -year -olds, herbs and vegetables that are perfect for gardeners of all levels. Admission is free of charge, but tickets are required to ensure a smooth and pleasant shopping experience for everyone. Here is a small look at some of this year's must-have plants:
Perennial

SedumGenerally known as “Stonecrops”, a diverse group of winter succulents that grow exceptionally well in the front. These resilient plants are known for the thrive under different conditions in particular, especially dry, rocky or nutrient-poor floors. In more than 400 species, sedums range from low -growing soil covers to larger varieties and offer a wide range of deciduous colors, textures and flower shapes. We have selected several varieties for this year's sale that have proven to be thriving in the gardens. New this year: Pteroseedum Rupestre “Rice Creek”-A outstanding outstanding, which remains green in summer and turns into a rich red purple all winter.

One -year -old
AnigocanthosGeneral known as Kangaroo Paw, is a striking flowering plant that is native to Western Australia. Its velvety, tubular flowers – the paws dissolved kangarnos – color the bold color and texture for containers, especially as a thriller plant. This year's sale will contain two living varieties: “Sunset”, a rich, dark red and “yellow gem”, a bright, happy yellow. Anigocanthos is more than just a conversation and is a resilient, show top plant that brings an indication of the Australian outback into a garden. Regardless of whether you are a beginner or an experienced gardener, this distinctive beauty is certainly impressed.
Manfred 'Chocolate Chip' is a fascinating succulent that combines a dramatic leaves with unusual flowers and stimulates it by itself or in juicy containers. This plant is known for its stained, wavy leaves and tolerance to drought and is as hard as it is noticeable. Although many botanists are often referred to as manfreda, they consider this plant part of the agave genus. It shares the toughness of Agaves, but grows faster and has a softer and decorative effect. If you are looking for a low -maintenance plant with a wild texture and personality, Manfred 'Chocolate Chip' is a winner. It is perfect for gardeners who love unusual leaves, drought resistance and a touch of exotic.
Herbs
Lemon verb is a fragrant, aromatic herb that deserves a special place in herb gardens around the world. This herb is known for its bright leaves with lemons and gives gardens, kitchens and even relaxation rituals a delightful citrus fragrance. This versatile plant is used in everything from culinary dishes to teas and natural remedies. Its leaves are particularly popular in herbal teas and offer a fresh, citrus -like taste. Lemon verbena also shines in desserts such as sorbets, cakes and pudding or as a punctual addition to fruit salads. It can even be used to infuse oils, syrups and vinegar. Due to its manageable size, lemon verbena is well suited for the gardening of the container and thrives in pots on terraces or balconies.
Lemon grass is a fragrant, versatile herb that is widespread in culinary dishes, teas and even for its medical properties. This high, clumping grass has long, slim green leaves that grow in dense tufts and release a strong citrus fragrance when shredding. Lemon grass reaches 3 to 5 feet and is well suited for herb gardens or large containers. The leaves have a light, lemon -like fragrance with a refreshing, slightly spicy taste. This unique combination makes Lemongrass a popular herb in Southeast Asian cuisine in which it is used to season dishes such as soups, curries and teas.
Vegetables

The Sungold tomato is a popular variety of cherry tomatoes that are known for their exceptionally sweet taste, a lively golden orange color and a high yield. Regardless of whether you are an experienced gardener or a beginner, Sungolds are a good choice to give your home garden a taste and color. As an indefinite variety, they grow, bloom and produce fruits throughout the season. It is recommended to keep the strong vines healthy and manageable, regularly circumcision and support – such as setting or beetle. Sungold tomatoes are usually ready to harvest 57–70 days after the transplant. The fruits start green and gradually turn a gold orange color while ripening. In contrast to some tomatoes that continue to tire from the vine, Sungold tomatoes should be harvested if they are fully ripe for the best taste. You should feel slightly soft to touch yourself, but not mushy. Choose frequently because you are productive manufacturers and regularly encourages the plant to produce more fruits.

The Traviata -aubergine Has a striking look with its deep violets, almost blackish skin and a shiny texture. It grows as a compact bush and makes it ideal for gardeners with a limited space or for container garden. The fruit is slightly extended and smooth, which makes it perfect for cutting and grilling.
