Monroe, CT – The city of Monroe invites all residents to take part in a competition to design the city's unique CT250 logo.
What is CT250 ?: July 4, 2026 mark the 250TH Anniversary of the signing of the declaration of independence and the establishment of the country. The anniversary encourages us to think about our role in creating the nation: as individuals, as a communities and as a state.
If we remind you of the Semiquincentennial, we have to make sure that Americans of all ages and backgrounds and in all places in history appreciate and understand their relevance how the different people of the past have contributed to American history.
Authorization: The competition is open to all residents of Monroe. By entering, the participants agree to be bound by the competition rules. Violations of a rule or not followed instructions can eliminate the authorization of the participants.
Submission guidelines and how they enter: The competition opens on April 15, 2025 and closes Eastern Standard Time (EST) on June 15, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Late submissions are not taken into account.
All entries must be submitted electronically to the library director Nicole Cignoli. [email protected]. The submissions must contain the full name of the person who has designed the logo, the e -mail address, the postal address and the telephone number.
One or more submissions per person are acceptable. Every submission must be sent in a separate e -mail. There is no fee to take part in the competition.
Logo design guidelines and parameters: The logo should contain number 250 and the words “Monroe” and “Connecticut”. Entries must be submitted as a JPEG files.
For high -quality reproductive purposes, the profit entry must later be submitted in the scalable vector graphic format (EPS). Color must be CMYK, although the logo can also be reproduced in black and white.
The participants are recommended to avoid gradients and half tones. For all reproduction purposes, the logo must be easy to use, handle, change and manipulate.
It should be visually appealing both small and 2 cm x 2 cm) and large scales.
Intellectual property: All participants confirm that their submissions are their own original work, neither by others nor from previous designs, including their own, have been copied and do not violate the rights to intellectual property of another person or organization.
The profit submission becomes the sole property of the Monroe CT 250 Commission during the ceremonial period and can be used for celebration purposes, including but not limited to websites, social media website, posters and other materials.
The name of the winner's name is confirmed on the commission website and the printed event programs. After the end of the celebration, on December 31, 2026 (11:59 p.m. EST), the winner's winner grants all property rights back for his submission.
If the winner is determined to have violated the rules, he must expire or return the price, even if the determination is made after the award was awarded.
Determination of the winner: The winner is selected by the Monroe CT250 commission members. Your decision will be final and no further correspondence will be entered. The entries are assessed according to the visual attraction, their quality quality and simple reproduction for the above purposes.
A winner will be selected and notified by e -mail by the end of July 2025. Although there is no cash prize for the winning part, the artist will be confirmed during the celebrations, in the website and in the printed program and receive free registration if he opts for events.
