Meet raptors and have time for stories
With an otter on the day of the earth
McKinney, Texas-Die City of McKinney invites the community to celebrate on Saturday, April 5, at a day of Earth Day in the Tupps Brewery, 402 E. Louisiana St. This free family -friendly event offers a full day of entertainment, education and environmentally friendly fun to inspire the residents to keep McKinney clean and green.
The celebrations will contain games, live music, a petting zoo and pony trips. Goats -Yoga is available, but advanced registration is required. Visitors can also enjoy educational activities, get to know each other by composting and meet live raptors such as an owl and vulture up close.
The event blows include:
- Composting 101 at 11:30 a.m. – Learn the essentials from a certified Master Composter.
- Story Time with Otis the Otter at 12:30 p.m. – a fun and pedagogical history for children.
- Live Raptor Meet-and-Greet at 1:30 p.m.
- Prices during the day – be present for your chance to win exciting giveaways.
