The Trussum Pond near Laurel will be closed from March 17th to mid -April, the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control in Delaware said.

The classification and paving of the boat ramp and the parking lot will include “to offer better access and reduce erosion problems that currently affect the ramp and the starting area of ​​the pond,” says a press release from the department.

The nearby Trap Pond State Park and raccoon, record, chipman and Horsey ponds are recommended for fishing and other outdoor activities during the closure.
