The career temperature Robbie Bryant from the Open Study College says: “The candidates only have to be honest if the time that has not been spent in work and what skills or training they need to update to meet jobs.”
Here Robbie shares his advice to explain a career piece of a potential employer. . .
- Redundanz: Tell them what you have learned from your experience to be made superfluous. It will be a good work ethic.
- Travel: Employers want to know why they traveled, but they don't just say for fun. Explain whether it is experiencing different cultures, learning new languages or developing new skills.
- Care: You do not have to go down in the complete details, just be confident and make sure that the employer knows why you have decided to get back to work now.
- It is wise not to go into a job and plan to pursue your dream career. Position your break as time to examine what you really wanted to do in life and show how and why you came to this decision. This will show real interest and determination in the role for which you are applying to be successful.
