In December 2022, the city issued an application for qualifications (RFQ) to the potential renovation of the locations along the priority corridor of the Michigan Avenue. Before the edition of the RFQ, the city held a number of meetings with the municipality's stakeholders to collect contributions to the vision of the quarter for the future of these locations. This input was included in the RFQ and is taken into account during the following evaluation process.

Afterwards, two finalists of the development team for the location in the 115th and the Michigan Avenue in the country were selected next to a planned CTA Red Line Station. The developer designer teams each receive a scholarship of $ 25,000 to develop suggestions that match previous community vision sessions.
