Disney reveals new details about Monsters Inc. Door Vault Coaster in the Hollywood Studios

Disney has revealed new details on the upcoming roller coaster engines on the subject of Monsters, Inc. as part of the new monstropolis expansion.

During the future of the world structure in the Disney Panel in SXSW, Pixar Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter and Imagineer Michael Hundgen said updates to the excited attraction. The coaster will be the first hung roller coaster in a Disney Park and a vertical buoyancy that will contain the legendary door-safe sequence of Monsters, Inc.

According to Hundgen, Imagineers endeavored to bring this memorable scene to life since the film was published. In the new attraction, guests will rise to their vehicle before they are lifted up to stir through the chaotic labyrinth of the doors that can be seen in the climax of the film.

While additional details remain limited, Docter Pixar's excitement expressed excitement about the project and called it “like a dream that had become true”. Look at the video below to see the buoyancy in action at the load station.

The expansion of Monstropolis was first announced during the D23: the ultimate Disney fan event in 2024. Imagineers worked to reproduce the busy streets of the Monster City. The upcoming monster, Inc. -Land in Disney's Hollywood studios will replace the Grand Avenue region. From May 10th, Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano will be closed from May 10th, followed by Muppetvision 3D and Pizzerizzo. Inc. Show and a flying door -roller coaster ride in the legendary door camp. Disney has not yet announced the opening date for the new country.
