According to NASA, a total solar eclipse of the sun, which will take more than six minutes and 23 seconds at its peak, will take place on August 2, 2027 in two years.
The length of the solar eclipse will be one of the longest in several decades.
Scientists say that crossing this six -minute threshold of a solar eclipse will resemble in 1991, which lasted six minutes and 53 seconds.
Space.com predicts that the solar eclipse in 2027 will be the longest that occurs until 2114.
The solar eclipse will be visible in parts of Africa, Europe and the Middle East, but most people in the United States will not get a chance to see it.
A solar eclipse occurs when the moon moves between the sun and earth and throws a shadow on the earth.
