5 designers approved ways to hide your garden hose

Having a garden hose in your garden at hand is a necessity for most, but it is obviously not ideal for painting all day if it is not used. If your garden hose narrowed your backyard style, it is understandable to feel a bit frustrated.

“Sometimes a garden hose is the only one that distracts from an otherwise perfectly held garden,” says Dallen Russell, a conversion consultant with Insite Builders & Remodeling. “A scenic terrace can have every detail, except that there is traditionally light green hose in a confused bunch.”

Are you wondering how exactly you will ever be able to hide your hose in such a way that it is easily accessible if necessary, but does not protrude in sight? As it turns out, you don't have to worry too much. Professionals have several suggestions on how to illustrate a garden hose in the courtyard professionally and at the same time ensure that it is easy to achieve.

Save your hose in a simple container

A clever path to keep your garden hose is to put it in a container, explains Tracy Morris, the founder of Tracy Morris Design.

“I love to use huge pots or decorative containers that fit into the landscape,” she says, quoting stone, copper and aged terracotta as opportunities.

The style you choose is entirely with you, based on the shadow that already play in your garden.

Decide for a multi -purpose container

Another option is to use a container that is a bit more considerable and can serve other purposes in your garden.

“Outside bearing boxes can earn as benches or small cupboards and offer both functions and veiling,” says Russell. Immediate backup career opportunities have never looked better.

Try a solution mounted on the wall

Morris is also a supporter of wall rolls mounted. She recommends a finish that complements the hardware on the outside of her house. If you do this, she will keep things properly without feeling out of place.

Russell also likes to use hose rolls and is especially for the giraffe tools garden hose roll.

“The hose locks in detail during use and then withdraws smoothly into a closed housing and keeps it completely hidden if they are not needed,” he says.

Put the hose away thoughtfully

Another tactic that Morris recommends is to use the green in your garden to your advantage (or to plant a little more if necessary) and to put your hose behind bushes to hide it.

Jordan Clough, Associate Principal at Richardson & Associates Landscape Architecture, agrees with this tactic and finds that shrubs such as Cherry Laurel, Dwarb -Arborvitae and other evergreen shrubs are excellent plants.

“They really help integrate the housing into the rest of the landscape design,” he says.

Morris also notes that buying a small screen and using it to the fence in her hose, if it is not used, is another practical option. Clough also serves to use a wood screening fence, which he adapts with the wooden fence in a courtyard for as uniform as possible. And a wooden fence is not only useful to throw away hoses.

“The housing can also help contain things like oversized boxes and/or recycling containers or to hide utility counters,” says Clough.

Select your hose color strategically

Perhaps the simplest solution from everyone and the easiest to implement when you buy a new hose is simply strategically with the color you have chosen. Russell recommends a deep green or dark gray style. This will hardly make this perceptible in its entire landscape, he says.
