Someone once said that the ultimate luxury is time, but someone insists that the interior designer Manmeet Arora, probably never lived by the sea. If there is one thing that the founder and director of the Loc Design House in Covid from Mumbai based in Goa, life on the coast can be good for the soul-so that they could never be considered, unless they travel to another coast, just like. In Arora's case, this Special Chennai was – an opportunity that knocked on the guise of a beach house that begged around an interior refreshment. When she remembers, the inspiration hit the moment she stepped in. “The house was aligned with a crystal clear view of the Indian ocean on the coast. For Arora's mind, nothing was more important than keeping the point of view the focus. “We had the feeling that this should add to home instead of competing for attention,” says the designer. She gave the beach house, trademark of the Mediterranean architecture, while she eyed it with a very local soul. “For me, the starting point was the calm of the landscape – and how we were able to reflect inside,” she continues, realizing that the interiors as an extension of the Seeland repeated even with steamed tones, natural textures and a quiet rhythm that lulled the coast. One way to do this was the procurement of materials and designs from the proverbial backyard of the house within a few hundred kilometers. So she did that, starting with the floor. When the lower floor had introduced itself as a cycladian island's withdrawal with kota floors in the terrace style paired with unusually thick oxid falbing, the first floor with terracotta tiles was heated to hold a mirror to the sun. The walls were approved in torching plaster while the bedrooms were washed with terracotta and earthy brown walls.
