Optimize your MySQL database in PhpMyAdmin

To optimize your MySQL database it is quite simple, just follow these simple steps: Backup your database, just in case. Click on the database name in PhpMyAdmin (in the left hand side frame) In the right frame, your tables should be listed, scroll down until you see the “Check all” link and click on it. Make sure that all the database tables are checked and select “Optimize table” in the dropdown. This will repair and optimize your database, it should also fix many of the problem your database may have.
